Fun in Bluffton

There's just something about going back to Bluffton that will never get old. Jack is now starting to learn about Daddy's old stompin' grounds and had a great week visiting MaMa and PaPa (and now Nana too!) while Brittany worked an FCA volleyball camp at Bluffton University. Jack even got his haircut at the barber I used to go to as a little kid.

Feeding the ducks, eating ice cream, playing golf & baseball, taking bike rides, swinging, following PaPa everywhere he went at night, visiting Mommy at camp, taking walks, chasing bunnies, watching tractors in the fields, playing marbles, squirting MaMa with the squirt gun, were all highlights of the week for Jack!

Summer Hours

We really like summer at our house. Work still happens, but we all seem to have a little bit more energy and are more laid back. Jack has especially enjoyed all the time he gets to spend outside, and of course it leaves him tired and ready to sleep at the end of the day. Audrey also has been a champion at night with a lot of fresh air and new activities. Like I said, we really like summer at our house. :) Enjoy some of our pictures!

Historic Farm, Heaven on Earth

Last week when we were in Ohio, Jack was in heaven when we went to visit a historic living farm with Wendy and the girls. The first animals he saw were chickens and then he couldn't stop running around, trying to find more. He loved touching the horse and a baby calf named Sweet Pea, and we loved seeing his excitement. A few times, he ran ahead with other kids as we must have been walking too slow. While it was unbelieavably hot that day, and over the noon hour, we had so much fun!

Trip To Ohio

We had a lot of fun in Ohio with Aunt Wendy, Uncle Jon, Abby and Anna. Here are some fun shots of our time and we'll save our farm pictures for its own post. Enjoy!

Hot Day, Cool Treat

Sometime this weekend, our air conditioner went out. We had a slow stream of cold air Friday night when we got back from Ohio, but over the course of the day on Saturday and Sunday, it went to almost nothing and not very cold. With temperatures in the 90's yesterday, it wasn't very enjoyable. However, we're making the best of it until it can be fixed and thankfully with fans, it is bearable. Jack wanted to make a cool treat for a hot day, so what could be better than jello?

Update: Our air condition is back on! We also decided since we were fixing things broken, why not go ahead and get a new water heater too? We are SO grateful that Eric asked about a possible reason for an increase in our water bills as when the contractor started looking around, he discovered a huge bulge in the water heater where it was rusting out. When it rains, it pours! :)
